No Fault Safety Surface in Regional Rehab's "Rasberry Patch"

Regional Rehabilitation Center revealed its new special needs playground this month. This was a project we were very happy to have a hand in! The playground, named "The Rasberry Patch", was designed for children undergoing therapy at the rehab center, located in Tupelo, Miss.

The therapeutic playground earned its name from Regional Rehab’s late and longtime executive director, John “Red” Rasberry. The playground’s main purpose is to serve as a tool for rehabilitating young patients. It also serves as a place for patients to play with siblings and other children.

The staff at No Fault worked closely with Playscapes of Mississippi and the rehab center to create an exceptional design for the safety surface application. Children playing and receiving therapy can now enjoy the extreme graphics and be protected with our IPEMA certified surface!

Check out our Safety Surface application at Regional Rehabilitation Center below!

A Green Weekend with the MLB!

No Fault Sport Group and Safe Play Systems partnered up with the MLB to create a new eco-friendly playground for Kips Bay Boys’ & Girls’ Club! In attendance for the ribbon cutting were several representatives from the MLB, Boys’ & Girls’ Club of America, Natural Resources Defense Council, and of course No Fault & Safe Play!

Owner, David Brantley, said “These are the projects that we really enjoy, we’ve installed high profile jobs for Disney, Universal and the like, but it’s these kinds of community projects and partnerships that we love because of the direct and immediate impact on kids and community.” The staff could not agree more!

Spotlight: Military Projects!

This week’s project spotlight is on military projects, and we are so proud to say that we have completed over 275 government and military projects!!

Military projects include anything from surfacing playgrounds on parks and schools, to putting sport flooring in military fitness centers, to laying down tracks at schools and gyms on base. We have the ability to construct a simple jogging track or go all out and give you a regulation running track surface, which is made from polyurethane & latex!  A simple jogging track is made from Poured-In-Place Safety Surface, which is also our go to surface to make playgrounds a little safer and  a little more colorful! Check out our website for more information and check out some of our projects below!!

The History of Running Tracks!

Since the 2012 Olympics are taking place very soon, it's only appropriate to give you a brief rundown of the history of running tracks!

  • The first Olympic race was in 776 B.C. Greece and the track was 600 ft long.
  • Early tracks in the US were about 440 yards and made of dirt & cinders.
  • The first synthetic track was built in the late 1960’s and was made from asphalt & sand. Asphalt tracks did not weather well. During extreme heat, the track softened, but when it became very cold, the track was equivilant to running on concrete. Over time, these tracks were no different than an asphalt road.
  • Today, tracks are made from a mix of polyurethane and rubber granules, of course you can still have tracks built a few other ways. The polyurethane track yeilds a much faster track and the synthetic rubber creates better traction for athletes. The average track is 440 yards and the indoor track is 200 meters, ranging from 4-8 lanes.

Track surfaces have come a long way from the first Olympics and provide a much better surface for athletes that support their joints & muscles! No Fault Safety Surface poured-in-place track surfaces allows for an incredibly comfortable "cushion like" surface that’s easier on the legs and knees which makes No Fault the #1 preferred surface by athletes and trainers. Coast-to- coast installation service is available.

Contact us for more information if you are interested in having your own track or running trail!

Pool Area Safey & Facelift!

Before No Fault Safety Surface
It’s June and it’s HOT. Everyone loves to go swimming and pool owners can agree, sometimes pools aren’t so safe. One common issue is the pool decking (the surface around the pool). The surface is usually concrete, it can be rough on feet, hot, and slippery when water collects in puddles from excessive splashing. As time goes on, society is constantly concerned with safety.  Builders and contractors are looking for safer and softer alternatives for pool decking, especially when it’s an environment with a heavy presence of children!

After No Fault Safety Surface

Safety Surface is No Fault’s solution to this problem! It’s great for pool decks and water play areas, other applications include jogging tracks, walkways, and playgrounds. We have installed No Fault Safety Surface in water parks, residential pools, and natatoriums throughout the country! It not only improves the safety of your pool area, but it looks fabulous as well!

Spotlight: LSU Baseball Alex Box Stadium

This post features No Fault's work at LSU's Alex Box Stadium. No Fault was so excited when presented the opportunity to provide our premium surface applications to LSU Alex Box Stadium back in 2009, not only because of LSU's big name, but also because this was a hometown project, and we are ALL Tiger fans!! We applied our poured-in-place safety surface to the inner warning track and the LSU playground. We applied No Faut Sport Turf throughout the indoor batting facility.

Check out what LSU had to say about No Fault below the pictures!

"Jay has been fabulous to work with and I really appreciate all the care and support you all have demonstrated throughout our first season in the New Box. First of all it’s a maintenance free surface! It’s almost as once you set it, you forget it. At most you might sweep it occasionally just to keep it clean, but it does not require any dragging or constant edging. Secondly, it does not get dusty like most warning track material. Thirdly, it’s safe for players to run on in foul territory. Lastly, it’s aesthetically pleasing because it gives the ballpark nice, clean, symmetrical appearance, which is good for everybody players and fans alike. I wouldn’t be surprised if (at the end of the year) Coach Mainieri asked our administration to wrap the surface all the way around foul pole to foul pole. There is no question, that I would recommend this application to anybody even considering building or renovating their current facility. It is a top notch product, that belongs on a baseball field because it is the perfect balance between the natural grass (field of play) to the warning track areas near dugouts, bullpens, & walls."
