School cuts in physical education programs coupled with endless
hours of TV and video games has led to an alarming explosion of childhood
obesity and heart disease, general lack of fitness and a lack of knowledge and
often an unjustified fear of the natural world.
Through a variety of activities, playing outside can not only
lead to a healthier lifestyle, but also create an awareness and appreciation of
